Already well-established in India, Apollo continues to expand in Europe. At Geneva, the Indian manufacturer showcased two tyres that will soon be available in Europe, putting the focus on safety and green performance.

An eco-friendly tyre for passenger cars

The Amazer 4G ECO is described as a safe, green tyre for modern compact cars. The new tyre offers improved handling and grip thanks to its wet braking performance. This is confirmed by the tyre’s EU label, with all available sizes receiving a B-rating for wet grip. Apollo’s internal tests also reveal that the tyre's rolling resistance is 25% lower than that of its predecessor, the Amazer 4G. Again, this is represented in the EU label, with B and C ratings for fuel efficiency, depending on the size. Last but not least, the tread pattern is also designed to offer a higher level of ride comfort. The Amazer 4G Eco should be available by April. It comes in 27 sizes for 13-inch to 15-inch rim diameters.

An all-round tyre for SUVs

The Apterra HT2, designed for SUVs and 4x4s, has been awarded a B-rating for wet grip and a C-rating for fuel efficiency on the EU tyre label. These ratings were made possible by a more uniform tread pattern which prevents uneven tread wear, thus extending tyre life. The new Apollo tyre promises a higher level of comfort, a safer ride and better shock absorption. Available in 6 sizes ranging from 16- to 18- inches, the Apterra HT2 will debut on the European market in April.
